Le diciotto specie oggi note di questo genere sono state rinvenute in mwdgEuropa, mwdwAsia, mweaAmerica settentrionale e mweqAfrica: la specie dall'mwegareale più vasto è la mwewI. complicatus, reperita in diverse località dell'intera mwfqregione olarticacite-ref-linyphiidae-1-0[1].

Per la determinazione delle caratteristiche della mwhaspecie tipo sono tenute in considerazione le analisi sugli esemplari di mwhqLepthyphantes improbulus mwhgSimon, 1929cite-ref-linyphiidae-1-1[1].

Dal 2011 non sono stati esaminati esemplari di questo generecite-ref-linyphiidae-1-2[1].
